Tier-1 Hardware Suppliers
We only use Tier-1 DELL HP IBM as server suppliers. Tier-2 Supermicro, Lenovo and Quanta available on request.
Hardware Sizing
Our hardware is sized for Development / Training mainly. Our Servers are built as a quick deploy for demonstration and training or for test and demo environments. Production not recommended.
Rack Server
We only use Rack Servers between 1U and 2u only. We do not use 4U or Upright/Desktop/Workstation systems due to shipping and stability issues.
Ex-Lease
In-Order to save costs and for our smaller customers, we have excellent ex-lease servers with 1 Year hardware warranty. These are substantially cheaper and just as reliable as new servers. We thoroughly inspect our servers before we ship/deploy them.
Patching
We can patch any instance or working server. We can provide a report even before any work begins. We follow SAP Best practice without the overhead costs of patch policy mgmt., audit & reporting.
Performance Tuning
We can analyze system bottleneck and use db02 as the cornerstone to check database performance monitors and further optimize the system.
System Refresh
Every now and then every system needs a refresh. We can cost effectively perform a system refresh, log processing, opermodes, BD54, AL11, SMLG,BDLS, RSBTCDEL, SP12, SM13 & SGEN
Backup & Restore
We can do scheduled-backup or maintained-backup where you request the system to be backed up. We restore based on your backup setup like point in time, increment or state-change.

What Is 4VM Servers?
4VM sells custom and highly configured OnPremise servers that can be deployed in your home office, datacenter or any location. It’s made ground up for easy deployment and ease of use for SAP product demonstration, training and development.
What Are 4VM Hosting Plans?
We also host your server on a rent-to-own payment plan. From $599/month for the 256Gb Server. We can also provide premium dedicated server hosting for demonstration and training. This is based on each individual request. We DO NOT provide shared hosting. We sell dedicated server hosting starting at $350/month. You can resell it for shared hosting. $350/month – 12Core + 64GB RAM + 1TB SSD – We can install any SAP software that fit the 64GB ram sizing. ECC IDES Ehp8 + BW 7.5 etc as an example.
What Does One-Time Payment Mean?
You only pay once. None of our OnPremise physical server have recurring payments. $4500 for 256Gb Servers is the only payment. There are no other surprise costs involved. This applies across all our OnPremise servers including Custom EPYC and SuperMicro servers.
Can I Change Billing Cycle?
We have detailed setup brochures with our servers. We also provide free setup once the server gets to your final location. There is a limit to our support. We cannot provide network config as every network is different. You need a local network expert to setup your server for WAN / VPN access. Once we have the final IP, we complete the location specific configuration.
Can I Offer access To My students?
What you do with the server once you get it is up to you. We do not have any restrictions. Remember the server you buy must be sized to your requirements. 256Gb with S4hana IDES cannot support 10+ simultaneous connections. You need 384Gb minimum.
Can I make UDEMY videos with your Servers?
Some of the most successful Udemy SAP educators use our servers. We provide all BASIS support and services to help you succeed. Need additional addons / instances installed, we can do this for you remotely.
Is UI5 DEV enabled on 4VM Servers?
Yes. Full development is enabled on all our servers. We have the se38 – dev key method enabled. We have the Eclipse ADT, UI5 Development, Abap CDS and much more. The Development tools are available only on our windows-based servers. For the linux server, you need to install the tools on your windows machine.
What payment options are avaliable?
We have quite a few payment options. PayPal, Wire Transfer, TransferWise and Dwolla. All hosting plans have a 3 months upfront payment for deployment of your server.
Will I Get All The Updates And Addons?
SAP Major Server updates are not included in server purchases. However, it can be cost-effective to update every year as opposed to quarterly. However, if you want any frontend updated like GUI, NWBC and such, we can do this for you free of charge. Backend patching is a basis service request and will be charged based on requirements.
What are the shipping and Clearance Fees?
All our servers are shipped EMS or DHL depending on your location. We pack and insure the server for maximum safety. We also declare 40% of server cost for insurance. If server cost $1000, we declare $400 for insurance purpose and so the DUTY and VAT is your responsibility for that 40%. The Invoice is sent separately to your email.
Can I Integrate my existing SAP With 4VM Servers?
Yes. You can easily integrate your exiting SAP infrastructure to our servers. We can do this for you by creating a BASIS request after you purchase the server. We will then need remote access using TeamViewer or RDP to connect the necessary servers / services.
Do I need Rack Infrastructure for the Servers?
No, you do not need Rack infrastructure. We use Rack servers because its built with incredible features. Its tested for reliability and stability. It has redundancy built-in. It’s meant to run headless. Once you configure it, you can remotely access it using any device.
